            Mizoram Sorkar hnuaia tui buaipui ber tu department pahnih - Public Health Engineer Department (PHED) leh Irrigation & Water Resources Department (IWRD) te hi an thil tum leh hmathlir a inang lo va, a hnuaiah hian tarlan a ni.

PHED – 

Vision: Ensuring safe drinking water and improved sanitation for all, at all times, in Mizoram.

Mission: To ensure that all rural and urban households have access to and use safe drinking water and sanitation facilities on sustainable basis so as to bring about a healthy environment, prosperity and better quality of life.

IWRD:

Vision: Sustainable development and efficient management of water resources for different uses in Mizoram.

Mission:

  1. Creation of irrigation potential by implementation of irrigation schemes.
  2. Optimum utilization of created irrigation potentials in completed irrigation schemes/projects by implementation of command area development & water management schemes.
  3. Protection of agricultural lands by implementation of anti-erosion schemes.
  4. Restoration and augmentation of storage capacities of water bodies.
  5. Increasing active participation of stakeholders/farmers in implementation of irrigation schemes and operation & maintenance of completed schemes/projects by formation of Water Users Associations (WUAs).
  6. Census of irrigation projects and water bodies through Rationalization of Minor Irrigation Statistics (RMIS)
  7. Judicious use and sustainable exploitation of groundwater for irrigation. 
  8. To collect, store, analyze and collate hydro-meteorological data to generate reliable database for planning and implementation of all water resource related schemes and programmes.
