9.1 The State Governments would commission concurrent evaluation studies for the projects during their execution through reputed independent organization(s) (not under the administrative control of Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India or under the Irrigation/ Water Resources Department of the state government). The aspects to be addressed in the report of concurrent evaluation are enclosed. A reasonable provision for likely charges for concurrent evaluation shall be kept by the States in the cost estimates of the project / works.
9.2 The State Governments would also commission through IITs the performance evaluation of completed works / projects with regard to objectives as defined in the DPRs and cost of such studies shall be borne by States .
